Aspilos Foundation is looking to hire an M&E intern who is a self starter that can self manage and pay attention to detail to work remotely.
Job Summary: The M&E Intern will support the program performance management frameworks as well as specific program M&E activities to ensure the quality and effectiveness of our program implementation. The intern will provide assistance to the program staff in developing results frameworks during program design and implementation, creating M&E processes and tools, contributing to measuring, analyzing, and reporting results. The opportunity will help build her/his program performance measurement skills through exposure to a variety of program activities. This is an unpaid internship with the possibility of a subsequent full-time hire.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Support staff members in setting up systems for program M&E
  • Assist with the design and development of questionnaires for data collection and analysis
  • Assist with data collection, aggregation and analysis
  • Assist with research and writing or editing
  • Assist with data management and cleaning, as well as quality control
  • Support the team through various administrative duties.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  1. A relevant college degree required
  2. Excellent writing and analytical skills required
  3. A high level of computer literacy required
  4. Average quantitative skills required
  5. Attention to detail required
  6. Have a passion for M&E
  7. Ability to manage diverse activities and to meet deadlines required; the flexibility to changing situations and priorities desired
  8. Initiative and ability to work independently and as a member of a team to support the efforts to effectively meet M&E needs
  9. Be able to commit initially at least 25-30 hours a week, with a desire to continue full-time in the longer-term 10. Prior experience in the social sector is an added advantage
