Our Team

Amarachi Nwabia – Project Officer

 Amarachi is a lawyer with a passion for advocacy and human development. She started her journey in advocacy and development as a student and has not looked back since then. She has been involved in various projects and has handled several platforms that advocate for the the less privileged in the society.

She has through various platforms advocated for prison decongestion, the rights of children and that of internally displaced persons (IDPs), and has also worked with the European Union on projects to help victims of torture in the North East region of Nigeria.

She now serves as a Project Officer here at Aspilos Foundation where she brings all her expertise and experience to bear in issues of governance and livelihoods. She is committed to as well as passionate about her work and always brings the best to the table whenever she is needed.

 

 

Bukola Gbadamosi – Project Officer

 Bukola is a fierce and multitalented woman that believes nothing is impossible. She serves as a Project Officer for our AboCoders project where she trains young women from low income families in Northern Nigeria on digital literacy and software development.

She studied Computer Science at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Oyo State. She is a certified Web Designer in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and MySQL, WordPress.

She has an in-depth passion to study more, she is open to learning. She loves meeting new people and discovering new ideas. She is passionate about Women Empowerment especially in Technology.

 

 

 

Rejoice Aikohi – Growth and Project Officer

Rejoice is a graduate of management information systems, versatile in computer administration, networking and web-development. She is value driven and passionate about being an asset to her society, nation and world at large.

A multipotentialite with a flair for teaching, training trainers and project management, she is a goal oriented person and can work with little or no supervision. She is a team player, a very fast learner that can adapt to new situations and can work under pressure. She has a possibility mentality and an optimistic personality that enables her overcome circumstances and break new grounds.

 

 

 

Simi Olusola – Executive Director

Simi is the founding Executive Director of Aspilos Foundation. She has been working in the not for profit sector for over 8 years with a focus on education, secure livelihoods and governance as it concerns young people. She has over 4 years of experience working as a consultant. She is a lifelong volunteer with a passion for societal development.

She has a Masters of Public Administration in International Development from the University of York, a B.Sc in Physiology from the University of Ibadan, is a Pan Atlantic University Social Sector Manager Scholar and has diplomas in global health, psychology and monitoring & evaluation.

She is a strategy advisor for Youth Vanguard International, Ghana, a member of the TechHer NG strategy team, a LEAP Africa Social Innovators Program fellow, a fellow of the President Obama initiated Young African Leadership Initiative, an International Citizen Service volunteer and the lead for the Steering Committee of Stand to End Rape, Abuja.

Simi is an ex-basketball player, having been part of the University of Ibadan basketball team, a librocubicularist who enjoys writing, is always, on and off, on one healthy living diet or the other, never backs down from a challenge, loves people and loves to mentor younger ladies.

 

Victoria Bajeh – Growth, Operations and People Manager

Victoria is a certified Public Relations professional and graduate of Public Relations & Advertising from Covenant University. She has an MBA with a specialisation in Human Resources from Ahmadu Bello University. Victoria is an excellent facilitator, persuasive negotiator and presenter. She loves interacting with people and building sustainable systems to stimulate growth and accountability.

She has great people and customer service skills and used those skills to get a successful albeit brief career in the banking industry before switching to the development sector. Victoria is a person of excellence that knows how to bring out the best in a team. She is a people-person and loves to engage with people from all works of life and learn something from everyone.

She is a passionate feminist and children’s rights advocate. She is a goal getter, people-lover and thrill seeker. She strongly believes and works towards building sustainable systems to stimulate growth and accountability in all facets of life. She is a mother of two and strongly believes women and mothers in particular can have it all in a patriarchal society.
